Natural Vision Improvement is relearning to see clearly in a relaxed and effortless way.

It is a re-education.

Rather than learning something new, Natural Vision Improvement is relearning something you have forgotten. Seeing clearly should take no effort. It just happens naturally. But if habitual mental and physical strain replace your relaxed and effortless way of seeing, your vision can be adversely affected.

A variety of issues can occur, including:

  • Blurriness
  • Double vision
  • Light sensitivity
  • Dry eyes
  • Burning or itchy eyes
  • Eye pain
  • Headaches

Natural Vision Improvement involves developing a subtle awareness of how you use your mind and eyes, realizing when you are holding tension and learning to let it go.

As you relearn to relax and re-establish the natural state of mental and visual ease, clear vision can return.

In the early 1900’s, New York ophthalmologist William H. Bates, MD,  developed a holistic approach to improving eyesight without the use of artificial lenses or surgery. Now known as the Bates Method of Natural Vision Improvement, it is more similar to the holistic practice of yoga than an exercise workout.

Rather than doing a regimen of exercises, it is the process of gently letting go of acquired habits of strain and relearning to see with ease.
